BiographyAshley Carter is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and the co-founder and director of EatWell Exchange, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides nutrition education with a focus on culture in low socio-economic communities. She works with schools, churches, businesses, and communities in diverse areas to help increase access, knowledge, and affordability of healthier foods. Ashley has a decade of experience as a nutrition educator originally in college at Florida State University where she earned her bachelors of science in dietetics and nutrition. Last year EatWell Exchange expandes their mission overseas as they had their first mission trip that to Grand Goave, Haiti where they now have their first community garden. They develop programming for the families to continue the implementation for years to come. Ashley uses medical nutrition therapy to provide realistic generational changes using foods accustomed to different cultures to decrease negative health outcomes like diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases.
