Joann Milord

SpecialityCommunity Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Director for the City of North Miami Beach

Joann Milord is a seasoned economic development professional with extensive experience in small business lending.   Joann has spent the majority of her career in both Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) and non-profit management.

Joann has worked for three leading CDFIs in South Florida including the Community Fund of North Miami Dade,  Miami Bayside Foundation and Ascendus. In her various roles,  Joann was responsible for loan underwriting, small business consultations, business development, and facilitating small business training workshops.

Joann has previously served as the Executive Director of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida and the Executive Director of Northeast Second Avenue Partnership (NE2P) in Little Haiti, where  spearheaded the organization’s mission of revitalizing commercial corridors to increase economic opportunities for Little Haiti’s community,

Currently, Joann is the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Director for the City of North Miami Beach. The CRA is focused on reinvesting tax increment financing to remove slum and blight, therefore, improving quality of life for residents and economic opportunity for business owners in the City of North Miami Beach.
