In May 2015, Kassandra joined the City of North Miami as the Public Information Officer (PIO). As PIO, Kassandra became the face and spokesperson for the City of North Miami. She resigned from her position to run for North Miami District 2. On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, Kassandra made herstory by becoming the first black person, the first woman of Haitian descent, and the youngest person elected to serve North Miami’s District 2.
