BiographyDr. Whitney Watkins is a higher education professional with over ten years of experience in the field, with decorated experience working in areas of residential life, student leadership development, TRIO grant-funded programs, dual enrollment, and faculty appointment. Thus, Dr. Watkins understands the expansiveness of higher education work. She is currently the Director of the Office of Dual Enrollment at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida and enjoys the work she does. She has also taught and developed curriculum at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and thoroughly enjoys exchanging ideas with and offering assistance to students. She was recently an adjunct professor with the Adler Graduate School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, teaching a graduate professional writing course. Additionally, Dr. Watkins is a published author, with several articles targeting higher education and underrepresented student populations in refereed scholarly journals. Further, Dr. Watkins is the Owner and Chief Editor of Top Notch Editing Services, LLC. This business offers document editing and writing help services to scholars and professionals. Dr. Watkins has a robust passion for helping others hone and improve their writing skills and for improving academic and professional works to contribute to individuals’ overall successes. Finally, Dr. Watkins is the current President of the BPN Miami Chapter for the 2023 year and appreciates contributing to the impact of the organization on the lives of Black professionals in the South Florida area.
