City of Miami GardensLinda Julien is the daughter of Haitian immigrants. From an early age, she learned the importance and value of education and service to others. With college in mind, she earned a degree in public administration from Florida International University, followed by a master’s in the same field from Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Julien has held multiple roles in government, beginning with the Miami-Dade County Affordable Housing Board, where the late Commissioner Dorrin D. Rolle appointed her. Recognizing the link between economic sustainability and access to homeownership, she continues to work toward leveling the playing field for the most vulnerable in underserved communities. Her experience spans economic development, contract compliance, procurement, and public policy—all aimed at creating lasting impact. Linda was elected to the Miami Gardens City Council in 2020 and serves as a city-wide council member. Beyond her civic work, she is an accomplished real estate professional, sitting on the Board of Governors for both Florida Realtors and the Miami Association of Realtors. She also shares her expertise as a college professor, preparing the next generation of public servants through courses on the American federal government. In her free time, Linda enjoys traveling, reading, playing the piano, watching Jeopardy!, and spending quality time with family and friends.
